It began back when I first got into marketing in high school and realized something that never left me: small businesses do most of the work of holding local communities together–but they’re often the ones with the least access to affordable, practical marketing support.
Over the years, the belief only grew stronger.
Working inside small businesses throughout my career, I saw the same patterns repeat over and over: tight budgets, limited time, pressure to “do marketing,” and constant advice to hire expensive agencies or buy services they didn’t fully need.
I knew there had to be a better, more realistic way to support them.
Small businesses don’t usually struggle because of lack of effort or passion.
They struggle because:
